Summary:

In October 2016, HUD issued Notice H2016-15 Processing Guide for Previous Participation Review of Prospective Multifamily Housing and Healthcare Programs’ Participants. This webinar is designed to assist the FHA lender’s understanding of the terms of the notice and the requirements set forth by HUD. This webinar will address the three focus areas set forth in the notice: specified capacity/controlling participants, organizational charts, and flags. While HUD has the authority to make the ultimate decision in which individuals and/or entities can be a specified capacity and a controlling participant, the lender must be confident in their recommendation to the lender.

The webinar will help the lender interpret the notice and explore layers of ownership to identify the appropriate individuals and entities. Organizational charts and what is required to be contained within each chart will be reviewed and sample organization charts will be analyzed. Flags used in the APPs system and the process to have flags removed will also be reviewed.
